There are some blogs I like to check out and Rhoda's is one of them. It is really funny because one of my best friends from college is friends with her and I had no idea till my girlfriend sent out a note to her friends to check out Rhoda's blog-Well I already do. I was checking out Rhoda's blog the other day and she had been to The Club that served orange rolls-she made them sound OH SO YUMMY. I decided to make them today, since my husband LOVES orange rolls. If you would like to try them out, here is Rhoda's post about the yummy rolls CLICK HERE for the yummy orange rolls!
There are a few things I will mention since I made them this morning. The recipe says they make 6 rolls. I have a family of 6 and decided I better double the recipe-well we have 48 rolls. They would make 6 HUGE rolls. The recipe says to bake them at 250 degrees for 15-20 min and I am thinking it should say 350 degrees. I cooked them at 250 degrees for 20 minutes and they were still doughy, white and no where near done. I raised the temp to 300 and cooked them for 10 min and they were still no where near done, so back in for 5 more min, still not done, back in for 10 more min and they were barely brown-no where near the color of Rhoda's picture. I would also like to try 2 things in this recipe. ONE would be to add some cinnamon-either sprinkling it over the melted butter on the pastry dough or mixed in with the coconut mixture. TWO I would like to try them with toasted coconut. Nuts would be a possible option-some toasted pecans MMMmmmm MMMMmmmmm. One more note-the glaze barely covered the rolls (and yes I doubled it because I doubled the roll recipe but it wasn't enough, not only did I not have enough to go over all the rolls but I had it spread pretty thin on the ones I could put glaze on) so I made another batch. Just get extra oranges when you make this up so you have enough in case you need to make extra glaze.
These were really good-Thanks for posting them Rhoda. My family dug in after lunch to try them and I would say they were a hit.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
