20 years ago today I married Prince Charming

Wow-its been 20 years since we got into the pumpkin carriage and headed for the castle to live happily ever after.

Wow-is that the Castle? (No that is not the castle-Prince Charming took me to just a nice little mansion on a hill by The Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.)
I can hardly believe I have been married for 20 years. In some ways it seems like just yesterday and in other ways it seems like we have always been together. Our youngest guy (can't say little any more-he's 4 you know and all grown up now) woke up in the middle of the night and had thrown up. I was stripping beds and wiping down the wall and baseboards and cleaning carpet, in the middle of the night while Prince Charming was cleaning up the BIG little boy. It is kind of funny that this is how our 20th anniversary would begin. We don't have any BIG plans for a few reasons. My parents left town yesterday to go back for a visit with my sister, brother-in-law and the cutest nieces there ever was, so our child sitters are gone plus Prince Charming is working a 12 hour shift today. He talked about taking the day off but I knew my parents would be gone so we decided he would go ahead and work. We will probably wait till he has a great new job and we are moved and settled in before we do anything BIG to celebrate.

Today is the first day I finally woke up with out a headache-10 days straight was agonizing so I am so grateful to wake up feeling GOOD-ready to work out and tackle the world. For each of those 10 days I was so sick to my stomach and in so much pain, I couldn't bear the thought of working out-so my agenda today has a good long work out listed as well as several other things. It is amazing how much more you can get accomplished when you feel good.

Friday, Prince Charming has the day off so we are going to get up early and head to Bradenton, Fl and go to a flea market. How's that for an anniversary trip with all 4 kids-heehee. My cousin raved about this flea market and we thought it might be fun to get out of town and go see what it is all about. I will have to take my crazy camera and get some blurry pictures to share with you. I know one of my BIG boys will be looking for baseball cards-it is his new passion.

For those who know that my husband is finishing up courses and looking for a job-here is an update. They don't have the new series ready for him to start yet-BUMMER but we are thankful that it will be ready by July 1. There was the possibility it wouldn't be ready till Aug 1. That gives us 2 weeks to work on some projects and things we want to get accomplished, so if he is putting resumes out and has a great offer right away...we will be ready to pack up and GO!!!

Now that is moving in style.

As I reflect on the last 20 years, I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and family...I am blessed with wonderful friends...the last year has been crazy but I am still blessed.

So come on-jump in as we are about to turn another page and ride off into the sunset for a new adventure.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
