It's a busy day- lots of projects, some yummy some just fun

I am in the middle of several projects. Cynthia inspired me to make some bread. I have 2 loaves and 32 rolls rising as I type this post. The picture above is of her bread because mine isn't in the oven yet but I can't wait to have the smell of warm bread permeate the house. My kids love homemade bread. It smells so good while it is baking. There is something about homemade bread that makes me feel like I am swept back in time with a load of laundry blowing in the wind. I have a wonderful bread recipe that everyone loves but I love trying new things and so I made up the recipe Cynthia used. Check out her bread by clicking on Homemade BREAD. I think I did it all wrong-the bread is coming out perfect but I didn't relax and enjoy going through all the magazines I have neglected to pick up lately and need to, I choose to do several other projects, on top of blogging.

** POSTED Later: Oops I forgot to mention that I did 3 things different than Cynthia's recipe. I used butter instead of shortening, I cut the salt in half and as soon as mine came out of the oven I buttered the tops of my bread and my rolls.

So the bread is only one of the things I am working on. In between projects I am researching G2's room design possibilitie-now doesn't that sound fun, and working on these projects:
Do you remember these plates that I picked up from the Red Barn Flea Market in Bradenton, Fl?

I have one coat of paint on the front but this is what they look like so far:

I painted 2 white and 2 of them black.

I am working on creating flourishes and monogram type scrolls, trying to decide exactly what I am going to do on some of the plates.

Not only did Shannon inspire me with her tray chalkboard but so did Sarah at Thrifty Design Chick with her Pear Plates You've gotta love another thrifty gal. I also loved this when I saw it on Angie's blog, The Happy Homebody You can see the before and after on her blog at Plate Re-do Angie also did this-ADORABLE frame My lil' sister collects pears for her kitchen, so there may be a gift in her future.

I am working on this project as well. It is no where near done but it may end up being one of my give aways-I will have to see if I love it once it is complete. Can you guess what all I am going to do to it?

Gotta go check my bread and put another coat of paint on my plates.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
