Since making this cake I have seen it in a few other places. Sometimes the frosting is a little different and some of them have used a whole box of strawberry jello in the cake (the one cake I saw with a whole box of jello in the cake didn't have any in the frosting). The next time we try this I am going to use a whole box of jello in both the cake and the frosting.
It is scrumptious but personally, in my unprofessional opinion, I think it needs just a bit more
strawberri-loush--ish--ness!!! So here goes the recipe originally seen at Daisy Cottage gotta love her blog and that music too. I took my music off my blog-what do you think-music or no music??? I am trying to decide if I should keep the music on my other family blog. Enjoy this before all those sweet and delectable strawberries are out of season.

Hey, Cheri, I've heard all about Lambert's. There is also one down in Foley, AL but I haven't been there either. My parents went to the MO one a long time ago & I heard about those throwed rolls. Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know how I feel about the music! :) Kim's blog is a special exception since she has sort of a theme music going.
Rhoda-I know. I love her music, you feel like you have traveled back in time. I have a few of her songs on my music list. I haven't taken it off my personal family blog so I was just asking what people thought. I have seen several blogs this week with music. Just wondering if I should take it off my family one or leave it on.
ReplyDeleteNow I really need to make that strawberry yummy cake! you inspired me to make it tomorrow.. I have fresh strawberries in my fridge,
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful weekend,
