Inquiring mind(s) want to know - Is this post about John and Kate plus 8?

Looking for the FREE GIVE-A-WAY? This weeks give-a-way ends at 10 p.m. tonight. We need to hit 100 followers to have a third give-a-way-this week, that's only 15 more needed. Last week we added 32 followers and I want to say THANK YOU. I don't know if people are just super busy with it being summer time or if a lot of people are on vacation this week-I thought we'd hit 100 EASY but here we are with hours to go till the drawings and we still need 15 more followers to have a 3rd drawing. We are SOOOOO close--Are you a follower? I'm excited about my next drawing, as well-- but I will wait to give more info after this one is over so there isn't any confusion but I did have a brain storm and I am going to change the picture on my give away button so it fits for all my give-a-ways (like a stack of gifts or a close up of some ribbon explosion). Any ideas?? That way it can stay on your side panel and you can just click, as well as others that visit your blog, to see what is going on. Thanks for all the sweet comments on the blog make over. I am really falling in love with her too. I really liked her yesterday but now my heart flutters when I look at her. Thank you Rhoda for this suggestion as well. Sorry I had so many things on my plate yesterday I didn't get any more pictures loaded,. My hubby is off today and we have a few appointments and then I don't know what the day holds-if he is going to the library to study I will get some more loaded in to Its So Very Cheri 2-OUR FAVORITE THINGS

I was at Goodwill yesterday and saw something I think I am going to have to get for a project. I know my hubby won't work on it till we get moved, (why??? SCHOOL and NO ROOM) but I have a VISION for this interior decorating accessory. OOOOOOH LAAAAHHHHH LAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! On a side note does your Goodwill have 1/2 off a certain color each week? I was at the Goodwill-the biggest store here and they have a big sign as you go in that tells you what color sticker is 1/2 off that week but then we were at another store that didn't do that but the second store gave me a punch card and for every so many dollars they punch your card and it is good at any of the stores. (So I am hoping no one else has any visions for my project and I will wait till it is 1/2 off-I know what color her sticker is - GREEN - and when I see that sign outside and it says GREEN, hold on kids, Mom is making a stop. Can you see the excitement on their faces now.

I was working on this project and I want your help. I can't decide which way I like it better.

This is how it started out after I rescued it, yes I know - U G L Y.


Then I painted and painted:



I went over it all with a pearl white that I rubbed in with my fingers. This was my Mom's favorite. It almost looked silver. (My Mom said it looks like the mirror of the wicked step mom in Snow White. I jokingly said "I could put the mirror back in and write in paint 'Mirror, Mirror, On the Wall...'")


I wasn't sure though so I kept painting and here is where I am right now:



But I could go back to a black and sand the edges and with all those layer of paint underneath I might get some cool looks at the sanded edges OR I could go White and sand the edges

or I even have some bronze hammered paint. See what Kammy did to her light with the hammered bronze--

the light looks so much better, don't you agree?
