I am super excited I had someone, who wants to do a give away with me--yeehaw. I am so excited for you guys. I can't wait to share it with you, but I will wait and offer it, possibly for next months give-a-way. I need to get back with her and work out the details.
So I have been super busy. I am still working on the new blog but it is coming along. Have you checked it out? Go See What I've Gotten Done So Far and tell me what you would like to see over there." Here are a few of my photos of things I have posted so far. I love
this one for a boys room or a guys office and there are several different ones for a theme room and then
these are available to purchase for all of you who have asked where you can buy one. I am making a list of companies I am going to contact for give-a-ways and maybe they will do some advertising with me. I HAVE A QUESTION- Does anyone know how to fix the code for paypal buttons? I installed each of the buttons and there is this huge space on a lot of the pictures but if you go all the way down to my father's art, there isn't the huge amount of space between his button. His doesn't require size options but I did them the same way and I have 2 huge spaces between each one of the codes. Any help would be appreciated. I was working on some projects yesterday but didn't get them quite done so I can't show you those but I will soon...If you look over to my blog roll, of all the blogs I have listed, there are a LOT. There is something about each of those blogs that I really like. I go by each one, each and every week. I know as my list gets longer and I continue to grow that it won't be possible to do that but I do for now. I really believe in linking back and forth between the blogs that you look at on a regular basis. Why-you ask, well it gives them credit for something you might be referring to, that you saw and liked on their blog, plus if they do you the favor of creating a post announcing-that "you" wrote about them-and then link back to your sight, each side benefits. Those who come to each blog are made aware of the other blog. While I am on the subject of visiting so many blogs can I offer a tidbit of advice that was offered to me, when I first started, from Rhoda at Southern Hospitality . She has been so super sweet and taken the time to help me and answer some of my questions. She doesn't know it but I am going to offer her the opportunity to pick one of the Ken and Cheri Photography selections and I am going to ship it to her as a thank you for all of her help but I am waiting till I get everything loaded to tell her, so she can see them all before choosing one-I am almost done. She may see this because of the link but that's OK, maybe I will be done by time she reads this. Back to her advice, she told me to get rid of the word verification AND you can still monitor your blog. When you are visiting so many blogs, it takes so much more time to have to go in and enter that word. She's absolutely right, there are times you will have people bypass your blog (because of word verification) and not deal with it. I would love it, if EVERYONE got rid of them. Obviously I follow Rhoda's blog but there are several that are so fun to check in on. I am going to take you on a tour of some that have some fun things for you to see. Get your seat belts on, Here We Go.
Melissa from Granville house has a couple of posts I will tell you about. The first is on painting and I offered her another tip that I will share with you. When ever you buy paint, pick up an extra paint stick and brush on some paint at the end of the stick, let it dry then on the unpainted portion of the stick write the name of the paint, where you got it, the code, and what room/s you painted that color in. Tie all of your paint sticks together and hang then in the garage and if you ever need to pick up an extra can of paint you will know exactly what you got last time. It is also great for anyone who purchases your home, if they like the colors they know where to go for extra paint. Now look what she did with these babies:
They went FROM THIS
TO THIS. Then there is a vintage white.
. What a lovely blog she has. I don't think I could have white furniture at this stage in our life. Miss G4 is always into something but I sure do love the look. I also love visiting Traci at Beneath My Heart She is a sweetheart. Look at this project she did-
I grew up in an older, home for a while. It was so cool with the back stair way that lead to the servants quarters. It had the old heavy wood doors and the skeleton key holes. I happened to look up that neighborhood on realtor dot com and my old house was for sale. I hadn't seen it in about 35 yrs. That was fun. Now, look at this project that Tammy (For the Love of Older Homes) is working on.
I don't know why but I love numbers and letters. Lola B-she could send me one of everything and I would think I had died and gone to a chic little heaven on earth. Now, LuLu & co is another fav.
She is doing a give away- click give away to check it out. Last, we will go by Pocket Full of Pink. She reminds me of when I was newly married. Are these not cute? I am trying to figure out how to add radio buttons to the top of my blog so I can clean up my front page. I also think I am going to change it so the background is gone and super simple-still working on getting a perfect look. I like the shabby chic look but I think less busy is so much easier to read and you know I want to have "the funnest blog on the block". So, if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Don't be surprised if you stop by one day and the "neighborhood" looks a little different.
I hope you enjoyed this tour. NOW, I told you, so WILL YOU TELL ME-what your favorite blogs are? I love to check out new ones.
Have a great day ladies.
Cheri

Thanks for the link Cheri. I looked at it but one picture won't load and the link to my page doesn't link.
ReplyDeleteHow is the new venture coming along? I am very excited for you and enjoy watching it all unfold.
~tammy
Hey Tammy-Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It is so easy to miss stuff when you are adding so many web addresses and images and have kids asking when you'll be done.
ReplyDeleteIt should all be fixed now.
I am working a little every day to get more done. I am a perfectionist and would love to have it all done, yesterday but one thing I have learned since having kids, is that sometimes you just have to go with the flow. I'd love to do something together sometime to help promote each others blog.
Cheri
