I also received an e-mail from Shanon from Posh Pieces and she did a post about Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chic and me. It is a honor to be in the same post with Sarah. Thanks Shanon.
Don't forget Thursday night is the cutoff for the Celebrating the Home give-a-way-- SIGN UP NOW

Friday will be our very first Friday to do the "Its So Very Cottagey" home tour party. I am so excited to start this party. If you are interested in doing a tour of your home we would love to add you to the list. Right now we have homes scheduled for the next 3 weeks. Just leave me a message with your e-mail so I can contact you and go over the info. I made a new button tonight so grab the button and spread the word.
The smell of Autumn--I love to put a small pan of water with some cinnamon on the back burner and turn it on low and let it simmer--it smells so good and if my little ones have had an apple and want the peel cut off I throw some apple peel in also. Everyone will think you've cooked an apple pie.
I wanted to share a quick and super easy project, plus it is so inexpensive to make and your kids will love working on it. It is so cute you'll be proud to hang it on your front door.

You can use either brown paper paper or a brown paper grocery sack. Gather up 3 or 4 plastic grocery sacks, some brown pipe cleaners, a little bit of raffia, a couple of fall leaves, I ripped a couple strips of material.a stapler, and some paint.
I cut my paper and then I trimmed it with decorative scissors. I stapled around the top and part of the way around the sides, then stuffed it with the plastic bags and finished stapling it closed. I painted the front (it can be left plain for a more primitive look, you can write words or make a face. I barely had any paint on my sponge and just brushed it around, you could even let kids do finger painting if you wanted or you can pre-prepare some parts if the kids are too little or it is a time limit school project. The stem can be stapled shut or tied off with cloth or raffia strips.Add whatever you want to finish it off. I had every single item in my house and didn't spend anything on this. My kids are going to make one Ieach and we are going to tie them into a banner.
My favs from yesterday's party-
they are all so good. It is amazing how many different ways you can go with decorating. I'm trying to give a variety here. Please go to each participate and thank them.
Mary did these adorable sweater pumpkins and the front door basket. I think I may have to make some sweater pumpkins. These are adorable in the creamy colors or you could do colorful fall sweaters.

Don't forget the "Its So Very Cottagey" Home tour party on Friday. I can't wait to show you the homes we are touring. We will be doing 2 tours and I know you won't want to miss them. Be sure to get your name in for the give-a-way it is really beautiful.
Did you know, if you are a follower of mine (and have a link to your post so I can find you) that I come over and leave you a comment, to give you a heads up, if I have a give-a-way or a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT coming, so you can be sure and get in on it?
If you didn't get the e-mail Sunday to come over around 9 pm then you need to check and see if you have LINKS to your blog set up. (QUESTIONS about that-leave me a comment with your blog address or e-mail address so I can reach you.) Thursday night is the cut off for the chance to enter your name for the give-a-way.
