You may want to point out that to show the email you have to go to Dashboard > edit profile > privacy > Show email. Which I have now corrected!

My FAVS from last week is the next post.
I know a lot of you do not even realize this information-you may be new to blogging or just had no idea your account was set up like this. Almost everyone who visits me has their e-mail set to NON-REPLY COMMENTS, which means I have to go to someones blog to leave a message and many of you have word verification on your posts. If someone asks me a question that they don't want posted to the entire world I have no way of answering, without going to your blog and leaving a comment on one of your posts. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change your comments. Go HERE to see how to do it. Currently I have mine set up for ANYONE but I am seriously thinking of changing it because I get sooo many bogus ANONYMOUS e-mails--junk people are putting out there or people form other countries selling Viagra (it is the only word in the entire e-mail I can understand). If you only reply anonymously please consider setting up an account, I still want to hear from real people. Another reason to change your e-mail, if you want to get replies from people you are leaving messages for and you are set to NON-REPLY and have word verification (I hate word verification), depending on HOW each of you has your account set up--it can take four steps before I get to leave a message. When I have 40 people to contact and each one takes me 3-4 steps, it is taking me a lot longer to get through the process. I try to get back to everyone but some days it is impossible when I have already spent so much time going through some of them. Did you know Word Verification does not keep your blog safe? PLEASE consider getting rid of it, when I visit blogs and there is word verification, I have to be honest with you, it crosses my mind to just not leave a message, because the process can take so long. When you have tons of e-mails to go through you will want the same thing.
I took my word verification off for ONE week and was inundated with spam, that's why I put it back on. I'll give it another shot, but make no promises!

ReplyDeleteThank you also for the lovely comments on my "military count downs". My husband is in the process of becoming a chaplain in the Navy (He's a pastor)...and I had made a few of these in the past for friends.
We are really excited about God moving us into the military (probably later this year).
