How to make these patriotic decorations:

I am giving you a preview to the PATRIOTIC TREE I am decorating for the holidays. I decided I was going to decorate some small Christmas trees, I have, on the front lanai, throughout the year. I had all the Easter decorations off and never did get my April Showers bring May Flowers theme done-too many irons in the fire-I guess. I started making the decorations for the trees.

While I was at Goodwill-looking at the OH SO UGLY LAMP, I found this old book. It was one I would never read-all about poker. It had a red sticker on it, which meant it was 1/2 price. I paid a whopping 50 cents for it.

I torn some pages out and started ripping them up. I had some of the foam sheets that are sticky on one side. I stuck the old book pages to the sticky side and then cut up some patriotic pictures and glued them on. I poked a hole through the paper and foam and fed raffia through so I could hang them on the tree. I still need to go get some small flags and coffee stain them for the tree topper but haven't gotten to that yet.

I then decided I wanted some streamers under the tree topper so I made the streamers that say " I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". I had some navy blue material with stars and I wrapped it around the tree. The first tree is starting to come together. What do you think??

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
