How to peel a kiwi fruit

What, you say-there is a proper way to peel a kiwi fruit? Well-I don't know if it is the PROPER way to do it or not but it is the way I do it and it will save more fruit for your tummy than the trash and I say THAT IS AN OH SO GOOD THING. Those little boogers are not cheap-if you look at price per oz., so you want to get as much of that fruit in the bowl and not on the peel, as possible.

Cut both ends off of the kiwi fruit. Then take a small spoon and turn it upside down. You will run this under the peel, pushing the spoon up towards the peel, pulling the peel from the fruit with virtually no fruit wasted. See that was so much easier than you thought it was going to be - Wasn't it? Money saved IS money earned. Now you have more of that OH SO YUMMY FRUIT than if you would have peeled it with just a knife.

I had a friend send me a message on how she peels a kiwi so I am adding that info. I have never tried it before but it should work as well. She cuts her kiwi in half and then uses a grapefruit spoon.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
