4th post for the day -some art work & the crash BUT come back tomorrow- what 's next? Karen's garden and the GIVE AWAY winner will be posted tomorrow

Go down to the first post of the day to see other peoples give aways. SO I have 2 recipe posts already for the day- but I have a splitting headache so I am going to go crash and see if I can get rid of it-don't fear I will make sure EVERYONE gets their name in for the drawing before I close it out-I promise. Please forgive me and over look any typos I have missed, gone back and corrected several-it must be the headache-yeah let's blame it on that. Yesterday was nuts. I ran to the store and my Mom was with the kids-she took them out to let them ride bikes. Grayden my 4 year old is so much like his Dad, not only does he look like him (other than the hair color) but he is so much like him, as well. I love this little boy-he is a spit fire, ball of energy. Anything his Dad does he wants to do. If my husband is out working in the yard he is out there with him, weeding and cutting up branches-he is very strong for a 4 year old going on 24. I guess it comes with the territory of having 2 big brothers and thinking you can do anything they can do. My husband will go on 4 mile bike rides with the big boys and who wants to go but Grayden, so he has to take him on a little shorter of a ride. He can make that little bike go pretty fast. So back to my quick run to the store. I walk in the door and Garrett (12 yrs old), my oldest greats me and says Grayden (4 yrs old) crashed on his bike and it is pretty bad. He is sitting on my Mom's lap and he is pretty scraped up. Helmets don't protect the front of your face. His nose was so swollen and even though my Mother had a lot of the blood cleaned up he still looked pretty rough. My biggest concern was his nose, it was really swollen and turning black and blue. Grant (11 yrs old) had a bike accident last year and broke a tooth. How did I make it that long with 3 boys before we had a "tragedy"? My boys have never had a broken limb-thank you Lord. I put a call in to my hubby. I knew there was probably nothing we could do but I wanted to consult with him. He got his EMT certifications (years ago, has never used them for a job or anything but the knowledge sure comes in handy when we have a sick or hurt child) so sometimes I feel like I need that reassurance-beyond the Mom gut instinct. When he got home he checked it out and we are pretty sure he broke his nose. He seems fine this morning other than the swelling so we spent a quiet morning painting. I had them all do hand prints. I love to look back and see their hand prints, over the years. I even had the big boys do them.

Those first 2 big boys hand prints used to hold my hand when we crossed a street or when they were afraid. Those hands reached for their Daddy when he walked through the door at night. Those hands used to ask to be picked up for a ride on your shoulders, now these boys are independent-big helpers, holding the hands of their 2 little siblings when we are out and about, offering piggy back rides. My heart fills with pride when I see how they conduct themselves. God has blessed us.

I think Grayden was enjoying this way too much-

Mommy's art work-you think I'm ready for a gallery--heehee!!

I will post my friend Karen's awesome garden tomorrow-you will want to see what she did-cute ideas.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
