I need your opinion, then Flea Market treasures and an extra special stop PLUS some chatter. from me-hope you don't mind

First-before anything else...

What do you think of these purses-cute or obnoxious?

There are different opinions going on in the family and I said I would blog to see what everyone else thinks. I won't say which side I am on so I don't get people siding with me. Please send all your friends over to vote. G4 loves all things pink--if you have read a few of my blog posts you already know what her vote would be. My hubby will be thrilled if he wins, my boys will be excited if they win, I want to see what everyone thinks and would be happy if I win--so tells us what you really think.

Second, let me say "sorry for posting so late" and if I don't get everything done this evening I will try to get up super early and finish first thing in the morning. Our niece had her baby while we were at the flea market so I have been working on her baby gift today (so I can hopefully get it mailed out Monday morning) -- you know I had to wait till the baby arrived to be told the name. I can't wait to share with you that project. I really LOVE how it is coming together and it should be completed tomorrow so I should be able to get that posted tomorrow. While I was working on it I came up with another idea that popped into my head(yeah that happens a lot-God bless my hubby). The nursery is being done in classic Pooh, pink and sage green with white. I think it would be cute to get a little crown and have it on a little shelf with a sign that says "Queen of the hundred acre forest" What do you think? If I do that as well, I won't get it shipped out Monday.

Ok today has been busy with cleaning and the kids, the baby project, phone calls. One of my best friends (I have 3-I can't have just one), called on her way home, today. She has been out of town for a few weeks visiting family. She was driving back home with the kids and we chatted for a bit. I think it helps to pass time and keep her awake while some of the kiddos are sleeping, so that was fun to catch up and share with her some of the projects I am working on plus chat about her and her family. (Michelle posted a note on the left side of my blog "What family and friends have to say about me".) Michelle has a blog that is a devotional. Maybe I will do a post on her blog some time.

I love getting out and going, but the day after, I feel like I am playing catch up. Add to all the extra things to get done today, the 2 little "BIG" kids wanted to paint-which always turns into finger painting. Glue and construction paper came into the equation, making for a bigger mess. Thankfully I had a vinyl table cloth down because it was covered in paint. I am still working on Miss G 4's shirt that she decided was a towel to wipe her hands on-her hands were covered in red paint (and yes the shirt is a white background--what was I thinking?). Oh well... all the housework gets done, eventually. A few more loads of laundry and I am all caught up. It was terribly hot today with a heat index of over 105 degrees-Ugh! I can barely breathe when it is that hot, add to it the rain we got yesterday. Can you spell Humidity? We did see a DOUBLE rainbow on our way home yesterday evening. Have you ever seen a double rainbow? I've just seen a few. I know the rainbow id God's promise that He will never destroy the world with a flood again but what does a double rainbow mean?

So are you about to die? Do you want to see some TREASURES? Most of this stuff I didn't buy-just loved it, looked at it, picked it up (no I didn't drool, looked at it more and took pictures. Can you tell I really liked this shop--so much and not enough money to buy it all. I got some really cute ideas, that I can make myself, from this store. Be prepared there are lots of pictures from this store.

I am crazy about this lamp. So many ideas running through my head.

More treasures

and more

Cute chair frame

I love this bird mirror

and this wall decor/hanger with the bird on it and the bird nest hanging down from it--toooooo cute

Such a cute teapot-can you just imagine a friend over for tea, sitting on the deck and having a cup of tea-in the springtime-not in this heat.

I asked about this window decor. It had little berries on it. I was really drawn to it. Royal Palm trees have the big clumps of yellow things, when they fall out of the tree, this huge bark like thing falls out of the tree as well. It kind of looks like a boat. (I will have to post this at a later date because the lady gave me an idea for the bark like boat thing as well. How lucky are we-we have a Royal Palm so I can gather a few of these and have a cool decoration.

I love this bird lamp

Tree ornaments

more tree ornaments

cute bird wall decor

I love this candle as well. I should have gone back in and got it. It was the only one and I just keep thinking about it. Yes I loved a lot of things in this store.

This star fish towel was so much cuter in person.

This is the store front.

more of the store front...

lots of store windows:

This flea market had lots of 'stores' but did have a few booths with some antiques. I would rather have more antiques but there were some neat shops as well.

My 2nd oldest son was wanting to redo his bedroom in something other than the nautical theme. We talked about a few ideas. I thought a cowboy theme would be adorable-cow hide and all- but he wasn't really into it. He was talking about knights and swords. All I could envision was painting the room to look like a stone dungeon and a few months later an announcement coming from the royal chambers that he no longer liked the dungeon look and was depressed from sitting in a room that looked like he had been stuffed in a basement room. I was not totally opposed but shared my concerns and so he was continuing to think of other options that he has a passion for. While shopping we came upon a store that had all kinds of novelties. They had a boomerang and those big rain sticks and lots of other things. Right then and there he decided he wanted to do an Australian theme. He has always wanted to go to Australia. That I could live with. We have been talking about a lot of different ideas and I think we have a cute theme, and we can keep our eyes out for lots of treasures.

  1. I think the purse would be ok if you wear a simple outfit. But you can just go all out and go for it! I like Vera Bradley and they are bold so I won't say these are tacky!
The room idea sounds fun! The hunting for stuff will be the most fun! It's cool he likes themes! Love your new stuff and the trip to the stores! What fun!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
