So much fun stuff to look at in this store as well. This was a cottage style store. I actually got out of this store without one purchase and thinking back I don't know why because she had a lot of fun things. I was in this store while all my "men" were in a fishing pole/gear store.
Cute platter (plastic but cute)
Adorable bags-I loved all of her bags
She had so many Awesome frames that were huge with all this writing around them and just a small area for the picture. I came up with my own version for this frame that I will have to have my sweet hubby make for me. He loves the word P-R-O-J-E-C-T
We walked by this store-and they had luggage and purses and wallets and money clips. My husband bought a couple of money clips. They were leather and I think they were only $6 a piece.
This is cute but I would really like to find a girly luggage in a brocade type print. Wouldn't that be so adorable.
Lots of stores with purses
and more purses
The kids were happy with their finds but were ready to head home. G1 found a baseball card place and bought TONS of cards. He was thrilled. He has run out of his card protector pages so we will have to pick some more up today so he can get them all put away into his notebooks.
G2 was happy to find a boomerang
G3 and G4 finishing off their ice cream. G3 got a fun little hand drum toy and G4 got a froo froo light up necklace.
While I was getting G4 into her car seat I was attacked by fire ants. Parking lots here are not like parking lots in the Mid-west. The lanes that you drive up are paved but the parking spots are in sandy grass, the perfect spot for fire ants. I jumped in the car, got my shoes off and started attacking back. Even after I thought I had them all off of me I was bit two more times, as we were driving out of the parking lot. If you have never experienced a fire ant bite-be glad--be very glad. They are mean ants. If you walk near their mound of sand, just the vibration of your steps will bring them out and they instantly start attacking and biting. If you put a stick by their mound of sand they will attack the stick. The bites hurt and itch like crazy.
As we were leaving and driving toward the highway we noticed a place that had gas at $2.61 (I am curious what prices are in the Mid-west) that is a great price compared to here- the last I saw it, a couple of days ago, it was $2.70ish. (Ranting about how gas prices should be the same throughout the country could be a completely different post-all by itself or better yet gas stations that are by the highway charging 20 cents more than a mile down the road...,OK enough about that.) My husband turned around to go back and fill up, as he turned around we saw another shop. Before I could even say anything, he looked over at me, smiled and jokingly said "why did I turn around, it would have been cheaper to pay $2.70 for gas". It was a Shabby Chic shop. It was QUITE pricey but amazing. Once again lots of ideas that I can create to look similar for a much more thrifty price. My husband stayed in the car with the kids. The 2 littlest "BIG" kids had already crashed and the big boys weren't interested. I hurried through the store and they let me take lots of pictures. When I got back to the car my husband said he wanted to run in and see some of the things I was talking about. He came out and said, "I can see why you loved this store". He is such a good guy. So with that I will show you this amazing store: This is what we saw as we were turning around to go back for gas.
This is the bathroom decor-I love how they did the walls with old pages and plaster around it. Once again I thought about another idea from seeing this. Can you imagine what all is going through my head. It is amazing that I even got to sleep.
fancy soaps
frame with a little curtain
more pretties
and more
I love the girl figurine in the "Gone With the Wind" style dress. This little shop is just across the street from an old historic plantation-they picked the perfect spot.
pretty card
mirror-perfect to hang a robe, towel or some pretties
This store was an old bank building and this bedroom was in the old vault. It was impossible to get anywhere in the room and get a good shot of much but there was lots to look at. This is a light over the bed, you can see the head board and a few other things.
I am having to pick and choose what I will take pictures of because I am running out of memory space.
I love these old cake toppers. I want to find a couple (no pun intended).
Too much cool stuff
I am LOVING this lamp.
More YUMMIES
So Shabby, So Chic-OK so I have another idea for the Shabby Chic Bedroom.
There really was too much to look at, running through as quickly as I did.
So many pretties. I could have gone through several times and saw something different each time but I didn't want my men going crazy sitting in the car too long. I had to delete a few pictures to get some pictures of other things-it was so hard picking what to take pictures of.
OK so we got home and what did we actually get???
Garrett was thrilled with his baseball card finds
Grant was happy with his Aussie finds
oops upside down -- WHAT A find the Old Classic Winnie the Pooh books all in the original binder box
oops the books-upside down
The box cover
Those money clips
I got these fajita plates for $3 total and I have a couple of ideas to redo these into 4 fabulous projects. That makes each one 75 cents.
snakes for the Aussie decor. They were a DOLLAR each. We were about to leave and noticed the tail was broken so we ran back and the guy told us to keep it and get another one so he has 2 snakes for a DOLLAR.
Aussie wind chime
Nautical stuff for decorating projects
I love these big balls
shells
and more shells
I thought these adirondack chairs were cute. I would love to find a dozen (at an amazing price)so I could have one to set on the top of a 12 piece place setting. I would need one for each person, for a really cute theme. If ANYONE finds them somewhere for a buck or two PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know.
I thought this ice cream cone made out of a shell for the cone and 2 sea urchins for the double scoop, was cute for a Christmas ornament. The next post from yesterday has more treasures that we saw. There were several stores with some neat finds that we passed on. We do not want to pack lots of stuff-that's why we got rid of so much when we moved a few months ago
I am getting ready to post the baby gift. It is soooo ADORABLE.

Girl I dont think I would be able to sleep either, after seeing all that great stuff my mind would ramble for days with ideas!! Thanks for stopping by, Have a great week, Here in NC our gas has hit aboue $2.70, I can go right across the line into SC and it is $2.52. Blessings, Janna
