Decorating FLEA MARKET MAGAZINE Inspirations-Polyvore boards--A New Fun Poll, Nicknames for the Kids

So I have a Fun New Poll for you guys and it involves this:

Yep a Fly swatter.

My 4 year old (G-3) is a crack up. He thinks he's 11 or 12 because that is how old his 2 big brothers are. You know what I mean-he knows he's 4, he just thinks he can do anything they do. He has called a fly swatter by another name since he was 2 and he came up with this all by himself and he continues to call it by that name to this day. What does he call it? Well that is the poll. Guess what he calls a fly swatter. You can vote till Friday and then you too will know what to call a fly swatter the next time you need to use one. Your choices are:
1. The Winger Dinger
2. The Buginator
3. The Haumbo Laumbo
4. The Critter Getter

So, I planned on getting a post out today with a fun polyvore board. Why, because I have been asked, on several occasions WHAT INSPIRES ME. I love an eclectic look. I don't typically walk in a store a want everything to match. Sometimes I see something and I think of using it but in a totally different way, other times or should I say many times I wake up in the middle of the night and my mind is just going and going, I have an idea and I can't go back to sleep till I finish the process. Rarely do I crawl in bed and do this at night because I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. It cracks my husband up because I can be talking 90 miles an hour as I am crawling into bed and then I am OUT --COLD, as SOON as my head hits the pillow. My 2 little ones are the same. What can I say I wind down super fast, I live a clean life and can fall asleep easily, and sometimes we are up at 5 in the morning and I don't go to bed till 11:30 or 12:00-so I'm tired. Like I said, I was going to do that but I had an early yearly exam-FUN FUN and had another headache coming on and ended up with a migraine so I am working on some inspiration boards (I've never done one before but have been wanting to) and I hope you will like them. It will give you a little taste of my likes. I won't say "things speak to me" that's a little creepy if you ask me. Like, seriously you think that material SPOKE to you (begin to back up as the Twilight Music begins). I will say 'there are things that I am drawn to and things will catch my attention and there is just something about the piece that I really like'.

Poll will be in the left top panel.

So I have a question for you? Should I come up with different nicknames for my kids?
I call them G1, G2, G3 and G4 because all of our kids names start with the letter G and they call themselves THE G-Force. Any time we go to a function with plastic cups and a sharpie pen we always write G1, G2, G3 and G4 -- quick and easy and no one else ever picks up the wrong cup. Prince Charming and I say it's the G-Force that FORCES us to do everything we do-go to work, clean up messes for the buh-jillionth time (yes I made that word up) live in organized chaos, do dishes, mop floors, let little ones HELP clean and make cookies... you get the idea. Don't get me wrong I love being a MOM and Prince Charming loves being a DAD, but kids change EV-ERY-THING. I had someone comment about my Grandkids. My first thought was-WHAT IN THE WORLD, I'm NOT A GRANDMA Oh what a sweet thing to say, she thinks my kids are my Grandkids and then I thought, OH because of the letter G-she thought that stood for Grandkids. I'm sure being a Grandparent is great but hey I'm just not ready to go there YET!!! So should I create fun nicknames for each of my kids or keep the G-force? I see another poll in the works. Yeah we'll do 2-it'll be under the fly swatter poll.

I had 28 new followers since yesterday and I will get to all of you, so if you haven't received a visit yet, I'll be heading your way soon. I love my followers and if you click follower I will come over and do the same.

I am so excited and can not wait till this magazine Flea Market Style Magazine comes out. The link I just gave you goes to their blog.
This picture is on their blog and I love this beach glass-it's hard to find because they clean up the beaches so much but I told my hubby we should start selling it-isn't it beautiful? Dog-gone-it you can't see it in this picture. It's the third picture in their blog header. Click on the button and look at it and then come right back.
Isn't it beautiful-I think a lot of people will want it--don't you? There are all kinds of colors. I bet pink would be popular too.

Well--all of you lovely ladies and gents, stop by again and you can see my boards full of what kinds of things I like and interesting unique eclectic looks but for now I will leave you with some pictures from our other blog Its So Very Cheri 2 - OUR FAVORITE THINGS . Of course my children and hubby captivate me more than any picture and I love the Lord more than things but I also believe the Lord gave us so much beauty to enjoy around us so He likes the details too. Imagine if everything in the world was gray, no colored flowers or sky, no one would have different colored eyes. Every season would look the same-how boring would that be. My husband and I took all of these pictures and each one captivates me.
I LOVE numbered and lettered things. So if you want to send me a birthday present--just joking.
I love how this plant drapes down so long with each of its knobby little pods that look woody and look how perfectly placed they are and the center looks like a tiny wrench would fit inside of it. Do you notice the little details like that-like when you meet a new friend or you have a life long friend, do you catch the little hints that something else is going on and "fine" doesn't really mean fine.
I love the oxidation on this and the twist of the metal and the color variation. I want a collage of several of these photos on one wall.

Did you see that number 5-yep I did too. See the color variation in the metal and the twist of the screw? I love that.

I liked this light so much, several of the pictures are from this one light, just close up of different parts of this light. It's all in the perspective.
I love the warmth of the colors in the large rock and the flip flops sitting there. Who do they belong to? Where did they go? I also love the ruggedness of the large rock against the smooth round rock.
I think the knot , twists, frays and colors of this rope are so intriquing.
I like the 3 fishing poles with out the fisherman. I like that they aren't perfectly lines up and there is a whole ocean of fish out there and 3 lonely poles waiting for them to come to them. I also like the thinness (is that a word?) of the poles against the thick weathered railing.
I love chippy wood and the colors of this are so awesome.
I like the textures and colors of the wood, brick and rusty chain
I wonder who's cake this sat on years ago and if they are still happily married. Did they make it through thick and thin, in sickness and health-till death do us part, did they love, honor and CHERISH their spouse through the good and bad times?
Look at those bumps...
Do you see each stich? and the colors of the leather? The oils of the different pitchers hands that held that ball and the dirt that ground its way into the leather and the leather gloves that caught the ball giving it a one of a kind texture.

Do you see what I see?

I'll probably post the polyvore on Sunday since the KNOCK OUT KNOCK OFF party is Monday and I will post some of my favorites on Tues. 1. I voted the option 3 I think it was.. it was the chuamba choice. I chose that because I have a 20 month old, and I cant imagine him saying any of the other choices yet. :-) Although, he just might be a little behind on talking. Looking forward to finding out!

  7. YOu know I voted to change their nick names (I think but it isn't working well!) but I do like the G-force! I guess with the movie ( you really should get royalties for them using your name) you might change. Anyway it will be exciting to see what people come up with!!
Can't wait for the Oprah connection!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE reading each and every comment. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I wish I could sit and chat with each of you face to face, sipping on an ice cold lemonade (in the hotter months) or a nice hot cup of coffee (in the colder months), getting to know each other but this is fun too.
